Children and students may need extra supervision during the eclipse, as they may not fully comprehend the risks involved. Early learning and child care facilities and schools are encouraged to have plans in place to keep children indoors during the afternoon to ensure they don’t view the eclipse unless appropriate eye protection is available and worn. Note that anyone who may not understand the risk or have difficulty following safety instructions are at greater risk.

As such, MVSD is requiring that all students in Grades K-8 and vulnerable students in all grades are kept inside during the hours of 12pm-3pm unless they are released to the care of their parents during that time. Please keep students inside for noon hour and recess breaks that will occur during these hours.

We are so excited to share that HES has received an very generous grant from the Dauphin and District Community Foundation. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the DDCF for their generous support to our School. We are extremely grateful for this donation allowing for gym mats to be purchased to ensure a safe area for all to play and have fun!

Students loved the fresh Hot Dogs for lunch today ... thank you for supporting this fundraiser! We raised $652.50 today and are on our way to reaching our goal. With individual donations received and this first fundraiser complete, we are at a total of $852.50. Great job HES Community!
