Halloween is quickly approaching. Please see the attached poster with more information ... we ask that students arrive that morning to School with their costumes on in preparation of our School wide parade of costumes. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Nominations are now being accepted for Manitoba’s Excellence in Education Awards, recognizing outstanding achievement by educators in five award categories. Click the headline for details.

For Thursday, November 21 - ALL MVSD buses are cancelled. Schools will be open; learning will occur for students who can attend safely.

The Board of Trustees recognizes staff who have served five years or more with MVSD, as of June 2024. Join us in celebrating our colleagues' accomplishments! Their years of service with MVSD and dedication to the students we serve is very much appreciated! Please click on the link for details.

All flags will be flown at half-mast for the Passing of The Honourable Murray Sinclair (Mizana Gheezik), CC, OM.

Henderson School will be participating in a Terry Fox walk tomorrow Wednesday, Sept. 25th.

Henderson School is hosting an almond sale beginning today, Thursday, September 19th until Wednesday, September 25th. Our hope is that every family is able to help out by selling 1 case each. The boxes of almonds are sold for $3 each and the case contains 30 boxes, which is $90 total per case. If your family LOVES almonds, or wants to sell more, you can come back to the school to get extra cases. We will have more cases available at the following dates and times:

- Thursday, September 19th from 4:00-6:00 pm
- Friday, September 20nd from 4:00-6:00 pm
- Saturday, September 21th from 12:00-1:00 pm

Proceeds from this Almond fundraiser will be used to redesign the south side of the playground, along the school.

The top seller for every class will win a prize!
The top 3 sellers from each class will be entered in a draw to win a family scooter!!
Top selling class in the school will receive a 5 pound chocolate bar and a free lunch
The 2nd top selling class will receive an ice cream treat and an exciting dodgeball game vs the HES staff!
There will also be random draws as well for some other fun prizes!

Just a friendly reminder that your family will not be receiving a case of almonds to sell if student fees have not been paid. Please be sure to stop by the office or send the fees in with your child to ensure your family will receive a case to sell. :)
