On May 7, 2021, MVSD was notified of four new cases of COVID-19 associated with Henderson Elementary School; however, the individuals were NOT present in the school during their period of communicability (POC) and there are no school-related close contacts. Therefore, no public health investigation in the school is required. The cases will appear on the Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard in the coming days. Click on the link for more details.

As our communities and school division emerge from the challenges of COVID-19, MVSD is looking forward to planning for the 2021-2022 school year. We ask parents/guardians and community members to help us in our planning by completing our survey by Friday, May 7th. A separate survey will be available for students. The Manitoba COVID-19 Dashboard has reported cases involving individuals belonging to Henderson Elementary School and the DRCSS.  Not all cases reported on the Dashboard will have resulted in a notification letter. The most recent cases at Henderson and the DRCSS did not result in any close contacts being identified and no notification to the school community was provided by Public Health. The Hon. Cliff Cullen, Minister of Education, has proclaimed the week of April 19-23, 2021 as Education Week in recognition of the important contributions of all who are involved in educating and improving educational outcomes for students in Manitoba. Please click on the above link for more info!

The third Wednesday in April is known throughout Manitoba as "School Bus Driver Day." On behalf of Senior Administration and the Board of Trustees, we would like to thank our bus drivers for getting our students to and from school safely!

Wednesday, April 21, 2021 is Administrative Professionals Day. On behalf of Senior Administration and the Board of Trustees, we would like to recognize the dedication and hard work of the Administrative Professionals throughout the Division!
