The Hon. Cliff Cullen, Minister of Education, has proclaimed Monday, Oct. 25th as Manitoba School Library Day. The theme of the day is "Reconciliation and the Library Learning Commons: Every Child Matters." In celebration of this day, schools are encouraged to participate in the Manitoba School Library Association's "Drop Everything and Read" challenge.

Please note the above two photos of Lost and Found items that have been accumulated over the Month of September. We will be asking our students to check this table until Friday to claim any of their items.

If you notice any items on the table that belong to your child, please call the School, 638-4653, and we will arrange to have them sent home.

Any items not claimed after this Friday, October 15th, will be donated to Parkland Crossing.

Just a reminder, to label your child's items (jackets, sweaters, etc.) to make returning these articles easier for the school. Thank you!

In honour of School Support Staff Recognition Week (Sep. 27-Oct. 1, 2021), as proclaimed by the Minister of Education, a sincere "thank you" is extended to all support staff in MVSD for the valuable work they do in our schools and in supporting the education of our students!

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation is hosting a variety of free online events from Sep. 27 to Oct. 1 to support our collective efforts toward understanding truth and reconciliation. Within Mountain View School Division, this year for the first time, September 30th will be observed as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day is to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools. Please click on the above link for more information and for some suggested resources.
