In its recent guidance, the Manitoba Government asked schools to regularly report to school communities on attendance patterns and the prevalence of COVID-19 cases within their schools. Click on the link to access pages dedicated to reporting Student Absenteeism Rates and Self-Reported Positive COVID-19 Cases in MVSD. The reports will be updated on Mondays with the previous week's data.

Manitoba Public Health will be offering a vaccination clinic for Students, ages 5-11, on January 26th at Henderson Elementary School from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Please note that ONLY students that have an authorized consent form submitted to HES Office, from their parent/legal guardian, will be provided the vaccination. Please complete the attached consent form, and then submit the consent form at the main office. If you need a hard copy of the form, please contact the School to make arrangements. Unfortunately at this time, due to Covid-19 safety protocols in place, parents are not able to come to School during the vaccination clinic. Please contact the School office if you have any questions.

Students will return to in-person classes on Monday, January 17, 2022. Please click on the link for a letter to the MVSD Community outlining what they may expect as students return to school.

As we transition into a period of remote learning for the week of January 10-14, 2022, we remind families that the following tech supports are available to assist with the following: Learning Platform Tutorials (Class Dojo, Seesaw, Office 365/Teams), Public Tech Support (contact one of our computer technicians to assist you), Wi-fi Hotspot Access and the Laptop Loan Program. Manitoba Education has advised that all schools in Manitoba transition to full remote learning for a one-week period from Jan. 10-14, 2022, inclusive. MVSD schools will be closed to in-person learning for students for the duration of this timeframe, with the exception of Kindergarten to Grade 6 students who are children of Critical Service Workers (CSWs) who cannot make alternative care arrangements and children with special needs. On Dec. 22, 2021, Mountain View School Division was informed by the Minister of Education, the Honourable Cliff Cullen, that the Christmas Break for all Manitoba schools will be extended by two days and students will return to the classroom on Monday, January 10, 2022.
