We are pleased to announce that Henderson Elementary School will be hosting a Family evening with food and entertainment, featuring world renowned author David Bouchard, on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 from 5:30-7:30.
A free supper will be provided from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Henderson Gymnasium for all who are attending David Bouchard’s Literacy presentation from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
David’s love of Reading and Music are showcased throughout his presentation, teaching about the benefits of Early Literacy and the importance of culture. David Bouchard's books have won several awards including the 2004 Governor General's Award for The Song Within My Heart.
In April 2009, Bouchard was named as a Member of the Order of Canada "for his contributions as an author of children's books and an advocate who has championed the cause of reading and writing, and who has shared his pride as a member of the Métis community through his stories."
